Tomorrow is already the first of December, and how the year has flown! We have only 3 weeks to the winter solstice and I can’t wait for it. I love this time of year, as the days get shorter and shorter, allowing for the longer nights means it is time to rest, recuperate and cosy up. It is cocooning time, both on a physical and spiritual level. We pause and allow ourselves to be present so that we can infiltrate the energies that are coming to us from the universe at this sacred time. This sacred time has already started, to pour in as we commence to be bathed in the energies of the full solar eclipse on Dec 4th. So it is important to spend time in meditation, and nature if at all possible. Remain grounded, remain connected to Source and live fearlessly in the knowledge that all is happening for our greater good and that of the planet. Cosmic energies enhance our light bodies and therefore help to shape our lives for the better. So do not lose sight of this in the hectic run-up to Christmas. Check-in with yourself every day to see are you attending correctly to that which is, or that which should be the most important aspect of your life; namely affinity with Spirit. Because it is that which is going to serve you best in life. Spiritual growth and expansion is the key and cornerstone to our well-being. And I am not talking simply of a kind of ‘well-being’ like relaxation. It is not like going to the spa to have a relaxing downtime. No, what I talking about is proper connectivity to oneself and the Universe. Don’t get me wrong, we all love to sit in a spa for an afternoon, but I fear that some equate just merely relaxing with that of something spiritual, but it does not have the same depth to it. yes, being relaxed is essential for our overall well-being, but it is not a direct line to your innermost being or God centre. For that, you need to put in a bit more effort. You see, you just cannot compare the depths of meditation to anything else. It is an effective, potent, and powerful tool to connect to your sacred centre or God-consciousness. And that is what spirituality is all about – discovering who you really are. Because who you really are is a spiritual being having a physical experience. And not a physical being having the odd dabble in spiritual things. This is why so many people feel lost and lonely, it is because they are not in tune, nor in line with who they truly are., and without this awareness, there is only an empty void. Connecting to your innermost spiritual being is the only way to fill that void, that longing, that searching. It allows you to become ‘whole’; hence we need that holistic approach to life. A life that is balanced, aware and in tune with every aspect of ourselves. So this December amidst all the lights, shopping, fun and all the other fabulous seasonal things, do take the time out to step back, to rediscover who you truly are. Take the time to connect, communicate and discern who you are and what you can be. Because what you can be is limitless. Remember, you are a God, creating your own life, so do not ignore the advice and live life to the limit.
