Messing Up

I like letter writing as it is an easier way to tell your story, sell your viewpoint or whatever it is you are trying to do. It gives you a platform, yet, it provides the security of not having to face the person or persons directly. So, I find it is easier to be open and honest when writing. But, the pen is not something to hide behind, but, a weapon to use to your advantage, plus, it is an intimate form of communication; in this technological era. A good friend of mine who used to always write to me passed away recently and ever time I now go to letterbox I think of her, and I dearly miss her letters, her personal contact, and her friendship. But, that is life, nobody lives forever, we all have our different timelines here in this physical realm, and I am sure she is doing well now in her existence in spirit; RIP Sr., Brigid McEvoy, and thank you. In one letter that I recently wrote I had to relay how I had really messed up my life in the past, it was a difficult letter to write, but, nonetheless a necessary one. I realized once I got my life back on track, that ‘messing up’, is a real method of growing up, of learning and without which I would not be the person that I am today. It brought me to a much more deeper level of life experience, and even though it was very hard at the time, looking back in hindsight I see how messing up adds lashings and lawyers to our life’s journey. Messing up serves as a means or opportunity to grow, to evolve and to mature, both personally and more importantly spiritually. Because, sometimes, when we think, or when it seems that our world is falling apart, when we fall down, we must get back up again. And it is this process, of dusting our selves off, of shaking off the old, that we emerge into something new. The old, the past and the ‘been there, done that’, have to fall away and make way for renewal. Without that process, we wouldn’t learn a whole lot, now would we? The best part of falling flat on your face is having the courage and strength to get back up and start again. It is only logical to see how in order that we know summer, that first we have to experience winter – otherwise, we would never properly appreciate the full and fruitful experience that is sensational summer, and we would take it for granted. It is true that every cloud has a silver lining, that there is a good reason for us to fall down, mess up and cock up because we have to learn. We do these things unintentionally and not meaning any harm; for we are only children in this kindergarten of life, (so try not to fall into the trap of judging others). But, if we don’t learn we remain in a cycle and remain stagnant, and this is no good for us. We have to learn our life lessons and move on, otherwise, there is no point. Otherwise, no change will occur, and this is what we are after; to create positive change. Life is constant change, you are not the same person who you were this morning or last week, it is gone; you will never reclaim that. Do not worry about the future either – as it is a waste of time, and worrying only lowers your bodies vibrations slowing you down, on this your life’s path. Live in the now, but, learn from past mistakes, misbehaviors, misunderstandings, misjudgments, etc., and don’t miss out on your opportunity to grow more and more fully into the divine person that you truly are.
