Browsing through a book store and being vegan as much as possible, instinctively I picked up a vegan cookbook. In between the recipes, there were some intelligent quotes by famous people regarding animals. This one stood out in its simplistic fact:
– “THERE IS NO FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAN AND ANIMALS IN THEIR ABILITY TO FEEL PLEASURE AND PAIN, HAPPINESS AND MISERY.”
– Charles Darwin.
The above statement may seem blatantly obvious, but, how many of us even think about it? or how many of us are really conscious of what and how we eat? Does it matter to many how or where the burgers we eat came from? Are we that mindless and stupid that we do not stop to think of the horrific, and senseless slaughter of innocent animals just to fill our bellies? Yes, it is true that people are becoming more and more aware, but, still, there is not enough and it is a slow process. There are many reasons and many different levels to not eating meat or animal products. Many of which people choose to ignore or do not bother to find out. Do people actually realize that they are ingesting the energies of these ‘fallen’ animals, who died in a state of fear and anxiety? The phrase ‘you are what you eat’, is quite literal, you are amalgamating these energies, and animal characteristics into your body when you ingest them. Eating animals produce therefore plays on your bodies energies; lowering them, so you do not vibrate at your highest frequency. Basically, eating animal products slows you down in every sense of the word. It, therefore, prolongs your spiritual evolvement and helps to keep the animal industry going. The animal industry does not care about the animals, no matter how “Free Range” they are. The animal industry manipulates and makes money is all. Surely, there are much more productive ways for people to be employed and to make a living, other than that of killing the innocent that we are supposed to be protecting. Surely, there are enough alternatives in this the 21st century? Even for the environment, the animal industry is a disaster, so why continue with it? Why do we need to stay in this mentality of madness and ignorance any longer? I see Butchers being targeted and attacked here in France, and that is no answer; two wrongs never makes a right! Violence is not the answer, but, education and awareness. Plus, it is so much cheaper and healthier being vegan, as opposed to buying meat and animal products. Society has to further evolve and evolve faster towards veganism. We are not back in the caveman era, these days we have a real choice. So choose well and let’s do our part to speed up this veggie evolution…………….. I will leave you with a quote from Sir. Paul Mc Carthy.
– ‘YOU CAN JUDGE A MAN’S TRUE CHARACTER BY THE WAY HE TREATS HIS FELLOW ANIMALS.”
